mLaP encourages institutions to maintain their own repositories of documents that can serve as reference materials for comparison with documents to be scanned for plagiarism.
Use Cases
Teachers upload (preferably anonymized) student papers collected over the years. Such papers can be indexed by mLaPNS and can serve as reference for documents to be scanned by mLaP. Potentially this can discourage people recycling papers or submitting them in other other classes.
An organization's LAN (local area network)-only digital library can be indexed using mLAPNS and be used as reference set for documents to be scanned by mLAP.
mLAPNS as internal search engine for an institution, keeping their own digital materials exclusive to its constituents.
